Wainscot Solutions

all photos in this post from Wainscot Solutions

If you have read my blog for any of the three years I have been blogging you will be well aware that I am a HUGE fan of trim , my first experience with trim was my staircase , little did I know that was the hardest thing to tackle , the angles can make it a challenge , but I did it and transformed it into a staircase with soul. I did recessed wainscoting for the stairs , dining room ,hall way and entry .

After that I installed applied wainscot , and beadboard in my bathroom and powder room too .

In fact I added v-groove panelling to my family room ceiling .

I most recently added board and baton in my bedroom , the hardest thing for me and trim is choosing a style , I did not choose one style and apply it throughout , I like too many styles , and I like variety too, variety is the spice of life .

I was recently made aware of this fabulous company called Wainscot Solutions , they make a wide variety of pre-assembled panels of trim and wainscot , all different types and styles now I have never tried pre-made panels , have you ?

Wouldn't that be a great story ??? maybe !!! I'm game.

So let me know have you tried the products from Wainscot Solutions ?, I would love to hear your thoughts.

I think it sounds expensive and you can make it all yourself anyway,I thought that first pic was your house,I'm glad you think it's ok to mix up the styles..I want plain plank walls in the bedroom but haven't done anything because I thought we should stick to the T&G like the ceiling. I am still thinking about that barn board ceiling Sara did too..but do I dare ask Paul to take all the T&G down...yikes,although we could use it in other rooms..too many choices!! WWCD? What would Christie do??

I too love wainscotting and like you love lots of different styles - we have board and batten in our hall and on one wall in our bedroom, French style in my guest bedroom and beadboard in my son's bedroom and the kitchen. We are thinking of adding a board and batten panel just above our fireplace to make a feature of the wall above it.
You've done a great job with all the panelling in your home - I love looking at the photos.

Well here in Australia, I'd keep them in business for sure. Trades people here just look at you if you request anything decorative... wainscotting?... whaa? This stuff would be perfect for me. Sigh, I live in the wrong hemisphere. Nothing like that here.

I don't have any wainscot or beadboard in my 4yr. new home, yet. The Carpenter(hubby) and I both like the look of it and have many plans for transforming our mediterranean style home. Right now we like the simplicity of a monastery/mission look. But you always inspire me and I love all the transforming you have done to your beachy home.

My house could use A LOT of trim. 1980= very little architectural detail! Where is the product available? Can you get it at Lowe's or do you have to order it?

Their photos are all so beautiful and it would be interesting to know how it works. I think they need to send you some so you can test it out!

I like to mix it up too with my trim styles. I'm sure this company is more expensive, but it sounds heavenly to buy it all done. I do it myself and don't have much time with 3 kids, one being 22 mos.
I would try it!

Love, love every picture!! Must have the same taste, yet my house looks entirely different. And I agree with you...mixing styles is just eclectic and can go together beautifully!!!

When you put up your wainscot do you glue it or just nail it?

It's amazing what trim can do to a room! We slowly have been adding trim to windows, walls, ceiling, it really finishes a room! Love all your pictures!
Take care

Hi! This is Jennifer from Wainscot Solutions, to Carriage House Antiques- actually the reason WHY we started our business was because wanted to create a unique and affordable product for consumers and the trade. The product is very affordable and we use the best materials out there- TruPan MDF doesn't shrink, warp, crack, expand or crack. You can even put the full panels up yourself. The materials will cost less than it would if you bought it at a lumber yard. Thanks to Just Beachy for mentioning us like this! Love your blog and love the comments!

:) Also! You can use carpenter glue on the back of the panel and then where you will put your cap and base moldings simply use a nail gun (or a hammer and nail) to nail it into your studs. The nails get covered by your cap and base so you won't see any nail holes. The product is handcrafted and has the stiles, railes and back panel- the way it was done a hundred years ago.

- we do ship to canada

- we are affordable because the product and company was created to be affordable

- all product is handcrafted, we do not use computerized machines

- uhm... and... if you have anymore questions you email me :) at jennifer@wainscotsolutions.com

thanks Chris you're awesome!

I just found your blog and am loving it. I, too, love all the different trim options. We used a few different ones in our house too. One of these days that would make a good blog. I haven't tried the Wainscot Solutions products though. I'll go back and read through some of your previous posts when I get a chance. Right now I am off to bed because I am working this weekend...sigh...so many blogs to miss~ Diana
